Description: The Eng_SURVEY_MARKERS feature class models the precise geodetic position and general attributes of survey markers, public land survey corners, control points, and geodetic monuments. Each Eng_SURVEY_MARKERS feature has a unique identifier stored in the 'Marker_ID' field, which is the ID value created by the collection source for each feature. The remaining fields primarily define the type, description, location, and positional accuracy of each survey marker. The source of each marker's position and spatial definition is identified in the 'MrkrSource' field. Most survey markers are collected using a GPS receiver, and in these instances the model of GPS equipment used for the collection is identified in this field, along with the horizontal and vertical accuracy of each marker, which is recorded in the 'H_Accy_m' and 'V_Accy_m' fields, respectively. Marker positions and descriptions may also be collected from National Geodetic Survey and Douglas County Survey Control datasheets, and through coordinate geometry calculations.
